How Game Demon actually works.

PERSONAS

The four coach personas

Four distinct coach voices: Demon, Analyst, Veteran, Savant. Each one is its own prompt-engineered persona with its own delivery cadence, voice signature, and topic preferences. All four run through cloud LLMs (Groq Llama 3.3 70B primary, DeepInfra fallback) for the smartest possible reads on your play. You pick which voice you want; they all see the same match state, they just deliver differently.

PIPELINE

The live coaching pipeline

Counter-Strike 2's Game State Integration (GSI) streams match state to a custom normalizer that builds a canonical view of every round: your money, armor, weapons, position, what your team is doing, what just happened, what's about to happen. A cue dispatcher decides which observations deserve to become coaching. A validator chain (arithmetic, length, peek-blame, dedup, prompt-leak, natural-delivery, specificity-claim) catches bad output before it reaches you. Sub-2-second latency from event to coach speaking. Real coaching during the round, not after.

RECKONING

The post-match Reckoning

Every match ends with a Reckoning: a written analysis from your chosen coach persona about what mattered in that match. Not generic stats. Real synthesis. Customizable so you focus on what you want to improve. The Reckoning uses higher-tier reasoning models for the analysis depth that matters when you're studying your own play.

What is Game Demon?

What is the difference between Base and Pro?

Two real options. Base ($14.99, one-time) is the entry license you own forever, with a 100-cloud-token monthly allowance for everyday coaching. Pro ($9.99/mo or $99/yr) is unlimited cloud usage with the best-available models and every current and future expansion pack included. Pro Annual saves about two months over monthly.

Do I need a powerful PC to run Game Demon?

No. Game Demon runs the AI in the cloud, so the desktop client only needs to run alongside CS2. Any machine that comfortably runs CS2 has more than enough headroom. An active internet connection is required for live coaching.

Can I upgrade from Base to Pro later?

Yes. Subscribe to Pro from your account dashboard any time. Your Base license stays active forever in parallel; if you cancel Pro later, you keep using Base (local) with no interruption.

What happens if I downgrade from Pro to Base?

If you bought Base and then subscribed to Pro: cancelling Pro reverts you to your Base license with its 100-token monthly allowance, and any unused cloud tokens stay in your wallet. If you only ever had Pro (no Base purchase): cancelling Pro ends cloud access at the end of the billing period. You can buy Base any time to keep going.

What happens to my existing license?

Existing customers keep exactly what they paid for. Steam-era recipients and direct buyers from before the local/cloud split are classified as Base perpetual and got 100 free cloud tokens as a goodwill bonus. Nothing in your account changed, nothing was retroactively billed.

How do refunds work?

Self-serve refund from your account dashboard if either is true: under 14 days from purchase, OR under 2 hours of recorded play time. Whichever condition still applies, you can refund. Outside both, email support and we'll handle case by case.

Can I install on multiple machines?

One license activates on one machine at a time. If you move to a new PC, revoke the binding from your account dashboard, then activate on the new one. No support ticket needed.

What if I lose my license key?

Sign in to your account with a magic link to your email; your key is always there. We do not store the raw key on our servers (only a hash), so we cannot show it from anywhere except your own account.

Is my data shared?

Some of it leaves your machine, and we try to be upfront about exactly what. Your demo files, raw game feed, and recordings stay local and are never uploaded. Coaching prompts (a slice of game state) go to a cloud LLM for inference, and the visual coach sends each frame to be read (the image is analyzed, not stored). Separately, if coaching-data sharing is on (on by default, one toggle in Settings → Coach Feedback turns it off), we also record and store your coach calls, post-match analysis, Coach Chat and Ruby messages, voice commands as text, and the visual coach's structured reading of your screen, to improve the coach and train future models. It is tied to a hashed ID that rotates every 90 days, auto-deletes after 90 days, and we never sell it. Turning the toggle off stops all of that. Which games does it support?

CS2 is fully functional at V1.0.5. Dota 2 infrastructure is ready (rolling out V1.1). Valorant, League of Legends, Deadlock, and Smite 2 follow in V1.1 and beyond.

Does it work offline?

No. Live coaching, the visual coach, and the post-match Reckoning all run on cloud LLMs and need an active internet connection. The desktop client continues to record your matches locally and will surface them in your library when you reconnect.

Mac or Linux?

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit only at V1.0.5. Mac and Linux are not on the V1.0 roadmap.
